I think I’m going to make it a resolution to update this on (at least) a weekly basis. Maybe it’s the recent binge on the Sex and the City marathons, but it is one of those things that can become habitual. Plus, years from now when I’m an old granny and want to laugh at my life, I’ll always have this to look back on.
In any case, the last several weeks have been VERY busy. After cooking up a storm for Thanksgiving, my best friend and I headed over to Vegas to have ourselves a small #Vegasgiving.
Pumpkin Pecan Pie Bars
My contributions to the Thanksgiving feast: my signature chocolate chip cookies, the pumpkin pecan pie bars, slow cooker garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and bacon mac and cheese (told ya I cooked up a storm!).
One of my bucketlist items to hit while we were in Vegas was Bachi Burger. The late was super long, but well worth it! I had a delicious lychee soda, Kiki’s burger, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the Oxtail Chili Cheese Fries. Yes, I will type that again, OXTAIL CHILI CHEESE FRIES.

The next day we took a road trip to Page Arizona, to visit another bucketlist item of ours – Antelope Canyon. And of course, we packed the perfect snacks for a four hour long car ride.

If you ever plan on visiting the canyon, I highly recommend booking in advanced. We got their around 12:30 and because we were a bigger group, we had to wait until about a 2:30 tour time. Luckily, Horseshoe Bend is about an eight minute drive from the canyon, so we spent some time there.
Finally, we were able to finally visit Antelope Canyon! If you’re a professional photographer, the guides will help you adjust all your settings, but if you’re just a normal phone photographer like me, he helped with those as well!
The next day, after a long drive and a long night out we celebrated in true Vegas style – at the Bacchanal Buffet in Caesars Palace.
Afterwards, we took a four hour nap, and forced ourselves to go out – which I’m glad we did.
If you plan on going for a recovery brunch the next day in Vegas, Hash Has a Go Go is the way to go for sure. HUGE portions with really delicious drink choices.

And that was Vegas in a nutshell! Broke even (thanks roulette) and crossed off two new states, so the trip was a success!
In case anyone out there is listening, the next few posts will continue to be recaps as I am finally going on vacation and heading on a plane in a few hours! Hawaii, here I come!
