Well it’s finally come to that time. I’m writing this as all of my belongings that I’ve accumulated through the last 2 years wait patiently on my studio floor. My dining table, tea kettle, and shower curtain have all been given away/disposed of (giving away a shower curtain seems kind of strange), and I am only a few hours away before my dad brings over our family SUV to move out my things and have to finish the last meal I will ever Seamless to my apartment.
Because of the finality of everything, decided to cross off several of my bucketlist items that have been on my NYC list for some time.
The crazy dessert from Tops Diner in Newark
The amazing view from the On the Run concert with Beyonce and Jay-z.
Doughnuts from Doughnut Plant.
The sushiritto from Press Tea (so good!)
My boyfriend also visited me from Hawaii and I wanted to take him to several of the things I had been meaning to go to.
Seafood rolls from Luke’s Lobster
The “Newsies” Theater
Brunch from Jane
The 9/11 Memorial
Celebrate my grandpa’s 91st birthday (isn’t he the cutest!)
Sizzling Sisig from Maharlika
Sharon Cuneta Cocktail
Tocilog Breakfast
Flip’d Chicken and Ube Waffle
Miso Roasted Black Cod from Tao Downtown
Crispy Snapper in the Sand at Tao Downtown
The Giant Fortune Cookie at Tao Downtown
Pretzel Dusted Calamari from ABC Kitchen
Crab Toast with Lemon Aioli from ABC Kitchen
Salted Caramel Ice Cream Sundae from ABC Kitchen
Burrata with prosciutto and tomato and tuna tartar from Briciola. Chicken curry puffs and Duck Noodle Soup from Pure Thai Cookhouse.
Umami Burger and Mighty Quinn’s from Hudson Eats
Cupcakes from Sprinkles
In addition to the marathon eating I’ve been doing over the last two weeks, I also went to Sleep No More (no pictures allowed unfortunately) and it was amazing!
And that’s it! 2 years after graduation and I am moving back home to New Jersey, which may not be ideal to some, but I am looking forward to the whatever the next chapter may be. . . alongside saving a couple of extra dollars to get towards that next adventure. 🙂
