Aloha Vacay 2013

I haven’t been doing a very good job at keeping this up-to-date, mostly because I’ve been struggling with coming back from Hawaii for the last month. But here’s my recap of all things fun (and delicious) in the prettiest state in America.

Plane rides aren’t so bad, especially if you get window seat.

The boy works at a restaurant, and I definitely had one of the best first meals in Hawaii I could ever have. Macadamia nut crusted opah, clams, & red velvet waffles with taro cream cheese (all eaten at Yogurstory right near Ala Moana Shopping Center).

My best friend Kristine lives in Honolulu as well, and pretty much has one of the prettiest views outside her house.

I did a lot of eating on my trip – Monte Cristo sandwiches from Downbeat Diner and Lounge.

Beef steak bowls and green tea shaved ice mountains from Your Kitchen.

But I did manage to do some sightseeing and hiking –

I could really go for a Loco Moco from Rainbow Drive-In right now.

With a side of Garlic Shrimp from Sam’s Kitchen

And of course some shaved ice from Waiola.

The boy even took me He’eia Pier General Store & Deli where we ate lunch by the water and had guava burgers and fresh swordfish.

But eventually kept eating again.

Chili, brown rice, fried chicken, and corn from Zippy’s.

Multiple orgasm ice cream cake and mochi from Bubbies.

Furikake chicken from Kj’s Local Grindz

Loco moco with kimchi fried rice from Big City Diner

But then I did some activities like go to Waihe’e Falls (I’m really bad at hiking).

Visited my favorite beach in the world Lanikai.

And got so lost (and sunburnt) at the Dole Plantation maze.

And on my last days there, I basically marathon ate.
